Carolyn Von Der Ahe
Graduating from Santa Clara University in Bachelors of Science, Carolyn initially began her career in high-tech sales and marketing. Following her natural instinct for design, Carolyn bought and remodeled many homes for her family. She professionally migrated into the world of design, taking postgraduate certificate coursework at UCLA and founding her design firm in 2002.
Blending value, design, and inspiration is the phrase Carolyn lives by at her firm. Carolyn respects the value of her client’s money and budget, quickly establishing her client’s firm trust. Her mission is to collaborate with her client by blending her extensive knowledge of design to inspire creative designs that reflect a client’s lifestyle, personality, family history and travels. Carolyn is adept at mixing high-end design, custom design, and value-added design for each client’s needs, all the while creating beautiful, timeless, livable space. Carolyn styles a client’s home to be current but still classic. Carolyn prides herself in working with her clients to maximize their lifestyle…to enjoy life!
Carolyn keeps her designs current by staying alert to cutting edge trends, constantly shopping new sources and working with the best artisans. She has expanded her design of custom furniture, incorporating new client specific pieces in almost every project. Carolyn draws her inspiration from years of worldwide travel, from the Far East to Europe.

Supporting charitable causes is an integral part of Carolyn’s business beliefs, especially those she connected with through her daughter, Kristin, the cutest blind kid in the world. She is very involved with her family and writes a lifestyle/design blog.
Carolyn has designed interiors in the greater Southern California area to include Los Angeles, Toluca Lake, La Canada, Pasadena, San Marino, Mission Viejo, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, and the Santa Barbara area. She has also traveled for design projects in Park City, UT, and Montana.
Carolyn is an associate member of ASID and a member of IDS.
Christine is a graduate from Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) for interior design. Christine adds a refreshing, youthful eye in completing design projects. Christine works on her own projects within the firm, and is known for her fresh and youthful approach in her design projects.
The knowledge Christine has gained from attending FIDM helps her contribute with all the latest technology and applications needed to keep the firm current. Christine worked with Carolyn on design projects for four years and now accepts independent projects.
Lauren Von Der Ahe
Lauren graduated with honors from Georgetown University with a degree in Economics, a minor in Spanish, and a strong course load in Fine Arts. She served on the staff of the Hoya newspaper, writing restaurant reviews. Lauren has attended cooking classes in Ecuador, Spain, and Italy. She has worked for the restaurant groups Le Pain Quotidien, Clyde’s, and Hillstone. She is currently working in management with the Hillstone Restaurant Group. Lauren is an occasional contributing blogger for the firm and an educator of all things youthful, fun, trendy, and delicious.
