Carolyn Von Der Ahe , ALlied ASID, Participant Wattles Mansion Showcase House

Upcoming City of Los Angeles Wattles Mansion Showcase House in conjunction with Reitzhous Productions will feature several top LA area designers, including Carolyn Von Der Ahe, Allied ASID.  Wattles mansion is located in the heart of Hollywood surrounded by 47 acres of beautiful grounds, which include precedent setting community gardens. The theme for the showcase is ‘Hollywood, The First 100 Years’. As an inspiration to the Hollywood theme, the suite, designed by Carolyn Von Der Ahe, will honor the talented, beautiful, and humanitarian icon Audrey Hepburn.  Carolyn Von Der Ahe enthuses, “What drew me to participating in the Wattles Mansion Showcase House, is the mansion is owned by the public and the permanent improvements we make will be enjoyed by the public for years to come.”  The showcase house will be open to the public March 25 – April 17. Tickets may be purchased online at http://wattlesmansionshowcase.ticketleap.com/hollywood100

The bedroom suite will include an eclectic mix of old and new pieces, custom pieces, original artwork and a custom sofa daybed designed by Carolyn Von Der Ahe.  Both the bathroom and bedroom echo a feminine, classic, elegant touch, reflective of Audrey.  The rooms will be washed in her favorite colors of pink and cerulean blue.  The scent of roses and perfume named for Audrey will wisp through the rooms.  But most of all, Carolyn expresses, “Audrey Hepburn is a design icon, but ultimately, I chose to honor Audrey for her precedent setting support of children in need, and in that light, all of us at Von Der Ahe Interiors are proud to make a donation to the Audrey Hepburn Society of Unicef.”
