Fun Centerpieces for Your Next Party!
Yesterday we had a graduation party for my brother who is a recent graduate from Villanova University. Throughout the house we placed momentos of his time in college: from his diploma to a baseball from his first collegiate hit.
We even made the centerpieces with the school logo!
First we bought a tin container, you can buy one at most craft supply stores, two mini roses for each container, and a two inch thick ribbon.

These white mini roses and polka dot ribbon were perfect for our theme. These flowers will look great replanted in the garden and be a nice reminder of the lovely afternoon.
Then we made the logo to be placed in each of the centerpieces by printing a logo off the school website and placing them on sticks meant for candy. These can also be found at any craft supply store. You can replace the school logo with any picture to fit the theme of your party.

Attach any photo to add a personal touch to the centerpieces. Here we used the school logo but pictures from every year at school is also a fun idea!
We planted the roses within the tin container, attached the ribbon around the tin with double stick tape, and placed the logo in the middle.
We even ordered dessert Villanova themed with cupcakes that matched our colors and cookies that were made to look like the school logo.

Our local bakery used a Villanova cookie cutter we bought at the bookstore on campus to make these Villanova inspired cookies for the party!
Like all graduations this marks an exciting, new, and sometimes frightening time for young graduates. However, this day was a wonderful way to celebrate the achievements and successes my brother has made despite the extreme health and physical challenges he has faced. I am so proud of him and he inspires me everyday and I know he has a wonderful future ahead of him.
